Wall-hung or floor-standing vanity: which to choose
Pros and cons of wall-hung, floor-standing and legged vanity units: cleaning, space, plumbing and style. How to choose for your bathroom.
Updated October 21, 2026

1. Wall-hung
A wall-hung unit leaves the floor free: the bathroom looks larger and is easier to clean. It needs a solid wall for fixing.
2. Floor-standing or on legs
A floor-standing unit gives more storage and suits light or plasterboard walls. Legs look classic and light, and you can clean underneath.
3. How to decide
Look at the wall, where the drains are and the style of the room. Each composition’s sheet shows how it is installed; if in doubt, we advise you free of charge with the 3D project.
